YOTH and Magpie

Inverness, California

 February 26-28, 2018

This Retreat was a magical experience!  A storybook house, new and old knitting companions and two of the most talented and engaging women in the yarn world - a Retreat that could not fail.

The food and wine were only as they can be on the coast of Marin - delicious, fresh and without compare (can you say  Dungeness Crab being cooked, picked and plated in your kitchen while you try to concentrate on your knitting lesson?  It was HARD not to be distracted!),

Drinking all the gold medal wines from the Chronicle's Wine Competition and that granola!!!!  We left with the most elegant and distinctive scarf/wrap project which was generously designed exclusively for our participants to wrap themselves up in the memory of our grand escape!  it was a blast.

THANK YOU to everyone who participated and to those who made all the contributions - Dami Hunter,  Veronika Jobe, Indian Peach Catering,  Naked Wines, Laura Blumenfeld, Patrick Murphy and Deputy Bette Hodges. None of it could have happened without these amazing folks.

This small and intimate retreat is hosted at the warm and classic Wildwood Lodge in Inverness, California.  This historic home was built in 1904 and is a lovely restored example of a coastal redwood house.  Located steps away from the Inverness Trail Ridge and on the edge of the Point Reyes National Seashore it has been a family retreat for generations.  It is a two-story house and features two split bathrooms, one on each floor, which we will share.  There are two queen bedrooms, one double bedroom and one king bedroom.  One bedroom is located on the bottom floor.  If you would prefer not to negotiate stairs, please request the ground floor bedroom.  A double occupancy at this Retreat would involve sharing a bed.  All appointments are provided and linens are Coyuchi organic cotton.  The house is pet and smoke free.  There are a maximum of 10 spots available for this Retreat.
